From October - December we have continued to build our links with local community groups, ensuring we’re targeting our work in the areas that can benefit most. This has included working with specific groups, such as the Romanian and Eastern European Hub and Almis Association for targeted projects.

We also delivered a number of community awareness sessions, including an online information event for the AWRC and a community cancer event hosted by Healthwatch Brent in partnership with Imperial College.

  • 125 local people shared their views through surveys and project.
  • 224 people interacted with us at engagement events.
  • We provided signposting, information and advice for 23 people.
  • Our Volunteers and Projects Officer conducted three enter and view visits to local mental health in-patient wards, supported by our volunteer team.
  • We carried out 16 community visits/outreach events – a large increase on previous quarters. 
  • We continued our work with Northwick Park Maternity, producing a report outlining patient experience within the antenatal clinic.
  • We launched a new piece of work understanding local experiences of using the London Ambulance Service – results will be shared in Q4.
  • The Romanian and Eastern European Hub carried out a targeted piece of engagement work to better understand the needs of the Romanian community. This was funded by Healthwatch Brent, and results will be published in Q4.
  • We sent regular communications out via news bulletins, social media, and email networks.
